Compound feed factory Daugavpils Dzirnavnieks has been working since 1970.
In 1995 the enterprise was reordered in Daugavpils Dzirnavnieks JSC. In 1997 large-scale reconstruction and automation arrangements of production lines took place. As a result cost-effectiveness of Daugavpils Dzirnavnieks JSC was sharply improved. All this along with work experience of forty years in compound feed production sector has been giving Daugavpils Dzirnavnieks an opportunity to supply its customers with the best quality products.
Daugavpils Dzirnavnieks JSC is a stable profitable enterprise, mounted with modern equipment, having a strong production basis. Production capacity of the enterprise allows to produce 20 tons of compound feed per hour and to store 70 000 tons of grain at a time.

PRODUCTION PROCESS
- high accuracy batching of grain, vegetative-base and animal-base raw materials with its further blending;
- additional insertion of premixes (vitamins, microelements), amino acids, ferments and other micro additions;
- automated insertion of oil and other liquid components;
- automated process of proportioning and mixing (controlled by computerized system);
- output of granulated/pelletted or free-flowing compound feed.
QUALITY CONTROL
Laboratory of Daugavpils Dzirnavnieks JSC controls quality during the entire production process – from raw materials to end products.
Only best quality raw materials are used in production. Raw materials are the subject of much research and tests on such indicators as: moisture, protein, fat, tissue, ashes, calcium, phosphorus, sodium chloride, acid number of fat, toxicity.
Quality control of raw materials and end products is accomplished according to the scheme of techno-chemical control, which consists of input control of all incoming raw materials, control of raw materials and end products at storing stage, control of technological parameters of the compound feed production process and control of end products. Quality control of fat saturation, of raw protein, of raw tissue, of moisture, of raw ashes, calcium, phosphorus, exchange energy saturations in compound feed is accomplished by means of rapid analyses with application of spectroscopy in near infrared region, and by chemical method.

Compound feed factory Daugavpils Dzirnavnieks offers its customers more than 100 types of compound feed. Recipe of compound feed is composed specially for each individual customer taking into account many factors such as: breed of animals and poultry, its level of productivity etc. In the composition of recipe of compound feed factual quality of raw materials is taken into account, but not a tabular data.
